#4 The Naked Gun - PG-13 1988

 This is the definition of nonsense. A typical Leslie Nielson movie full of silly one liners and lots of misunderstandings. There isn’t really a lot of gun play in this movie and not as much action as most of the other movies on this list, but With a name like “the Naked Gun”, we had to put it on our list. If you like movies that have some slapstick comedy mixed with ridiculous dialogue in the concept of an old narrative cop show, then this movie is right up your alley.

#3 The Other Guys - PG-13 2010

If you like Will Ferrell and Mark Walberg you will like this movie. The cities top detectives, played by Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, end up dying in their pursuit of justice and the battle is on to see which detectives will be the new top detectives. Ferrell is an accounting expert who hasn’t worked in the field. Walberg is a shoot first ask questions later kind of guy who “shot Jeter”. they think they have what it takes to be the new top dogs. They actually might solve this case. At one point Ferrell is talked into giving an "office pop".

#2 Maverick - PG 1994

 This movie made in '94 is a remake of the late '50 TV show with the same name. Mel Gibson is a poker player heading to a big tournament on a riverboat. The problem is he doesn’t have enough buy in money for the tournamnet. However, he does have a lot of people who owe him. on his journey he has to collect money from all of his friends but keeping track of that money is a hard task. This is an upbeat movie with a few twists and turns that will keep you smiling. A side note, James Garner has a major role in the movie but was the original Maverick in the '50s.
