#10 The Quick and the Dead - R 1995

A gun duelling tournament is set up by a ruthless town baron and the quickest guns come from all around to win the pot of money. You have the young gun played by Leonardo Dicaprio, the gunslinger turned preacher played by Russell Crowe, and the unknown gunslinger played by Sharon Stone who is there to avenge the death of her father. Not much of a story line but lots of star power and lots of gun play.

#9 The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly R 1966

When I think of this movie the first thing that pops into my head is the music. I don't think this movie would have stood out as much without the easily identifiable music. This spaghetti western has Clint Eastwood as the main character who teams up with an outlaw to trick officials out of their reward money for a wanted criminal. Things don't always go as planned and there are a few switching of sides, backstabbing and a buried treasure during the Civil War.

#8 Django Unchained - R 2012

This one probably makes some of you upset. The original movie “Django'' from 1966 is entertaining itself, but was overshadowed by the star powered movies from Wayne and Eastwood. The 2012 version with Jamie Foxx is the typical Quentin Tarantino movie. Not for the faint at heart and overly gruesome. Foxx’s character was a slave set free by a bounty hunter wanting to work with Foxx to find a couple of bounties that Foxx can identify. Foxx’s character agrees to help the bounty hunter, played by Christoph Waltz, as long as he can find his wife, who is currently a slave, and get her out. The music is phenomenal in this movie and is a mix of modern music and music from the heyday of westerns.

Most liked by those born from 1985-2003. Earns every bit of its R rating and not a family movie.
